He made sure that his students knew what they were doing when we were handling the equipment and went into great depths on the written, really helped you understand. I had Eric Schmidt and Shawn White as my practical instructors. They had the patience and knowledge to teach me how to safely inspect and learn to drive a tractor trailer They are both very informative on what you should be looking out for as your driving down the road pay attention to everything look ahead and predict what is going... see more to happen next. I recently completed training in the DZ Standard program at the Cambridge campus in March 2025. I wanted to ensure that my training was going to be at a very high standard as this would be the foundation of a new career for me. I met with the lead instructor Shawn White prior to taking the course and... see more after our meeting and discussion I came away feeling very strong that he would be an excellent trainer. I could not have been more correct with my assessment of Shawn. I found Shawn not only to be an excellent trainer but also someone who genuinely cares about the success of his students. The training is very intense with a lot of skills and information to be covered during limited time of training. I found one of Shawn's greatest strengths was his ability to analyze my strengths and weaknesses and how to prioritize my training needs so that I could get the most out of the program and my time with him. After the training was completed I passed the road test on my first attempt and the driver examiner told me I was excellent on every part of the test. I cannot speak highly enough about Shawn as he is a very knowledgeable, experienced trainer and his attention to detail is second to none. As well he gave me training on top of my scheduled time on his own personal time. It was Shawn's high level of training that got me more than ready and confident for the road test. He is not only a great trainer but a great person as well which made the training a very enjoyable experience.
